Amy Birkel is a dynamic and results oriented leader with a proven track record in operations and leadership. As the Chief Operating Officer at Heritage Communities Amy oversees a diverse portfolio of twenty-four senior living communities spanning six states.

Amy’s journey in caring for older adults began as a teenager working as a certified nursing assistant in her small hometown. This experience fostered a deep understanding of the unique needs and aspirations of older adults. In addition, it highlighted the need for strong management and integrity-based oversight when taking care of the frail and vulnerable.

Her dedication and strategic vision have propelled her through various leadership positions in senior living for over thirty years.

Amy is also proud to be the mom of three BRAVE daughters.
